What is Mini Bulls Rugby? The junior section of Brixton Bulls Rugby League Club. The aim is to learn to play rugby, and have fun.
When do sessions take place? Every Saturday, 10.30am – 11.30am, year round, during term time. During the Autumn term, sessions are starting on Sept 9th and will continue until Dec 16th.
Where do sessions take place? Woodmansterne Playing Fields, 47 Stockport Road, Streatham SW16 5XE.
How much does it cost? £20 per month, with a free trial.
What if I’ve never played before? All are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary. We are recruiting new players for the new season which starts on September 9th.
Do you play if it raining? Rugby is an outdoor game, and we can’t afford to be too picky in the British weather, so yes we do!
Who coaches the sessions? A team of enthusiastic fully qualified volunteers who comprise parents and players in the older teams of the club. We also have the support of professional coaches from the London Rugby League Foundation.
Is it contact? Most of the training exercises and games are non-contact for all age groups. Matches for Under-7s are also non-contact. At Under-9s children start doing some contact, while at Under-11s matches are contact.
Do you play in tournaments? During the summer term we take part in some festivals at other rugby league clubs around London. These are a great opportunity to put all the fun and games into practice.
Is Mini Bulls Rugby part of a larger club? It is part of Brixton Bulls Rugby League Club, one of London’s most successful rugby league clubs.
